Are downtown shops and stores open during the festival?
Many of our retail establishments stay open late for the convenience of festival attendees. It’s more fun to browse through our shops with the music playing outside and the crowds having such a great time. Everyone is in a friendly, fun mood. The Amherst Cinema is also open, so you could plan a complete fun day with the family by listening to the music, having a supper outdoors, and then taking in a movie! Of course, all the taverns and restaurants will be open all day and late into the night for your entertainment and enjoyment.
