Are Dogs That Have Been Fixed Easier To Potty Train?

Potty training my puppy was surprisingly easy. Positive reinforcement and consistency! In catching him in the act, we’d interrupt him by making a loud noise or going over to him, immediately take him outside and tell him to “go potty”. Once he did, he was rewarded, usually with a tiny treat and lots of love. If you happen to find that he went to the bathroom in the house, don’t take him over to it and yell at him…just clean it up. Scolding him will confuse him, plus he won’t even know why you’re scolding him. You have literally a 3 second time frame to correct a behavior. This is how we trained our 5 month pitmix and he hasn’t gone to the bathroom in the house in weeks!
