Are dogs safe around rabbits with myxomatosis?

It’s not infectious to dogs, only rabbits. wild rabbits can survive with it as they have built up some immunity over generations so it’s probably best to leave any sick rabbits as they may recover. Edit: maybe I should have made it clearer-many WILD rabbits have some immunity, domestic PET rabbits as yet don’t, so many wild rabbits do survive. That’s how the immunity gets passed on to the next generation, so while it would be safe for your dog to kill a rabbit, it wouldn’t be humane or necessary.
