Are Distance Learning course credits from other UMaine System campuses the same as credits from USM courses?

The distance learning courses you take from other campuses will now be treated as “transfer credit.” Therefore it is a good idea to check with your advisor before enrolling. Some UMS universities require that you complete the last 30 credit hours of your degree program through your home campus. Others are more flexible and will waive requirements with your advisor’s approval. Regardless, before you enroll make sure that USM will accept another campus’s course towards your senior residency requirement.
