No. We encourage all students to bring a desk lamp (room equipped with overhead light), and their own trash can. Halogen floor lamps are not permitted as they pose a severe fire safety risk due to the intense heat generated by the high wattage bulb. Each residence hall has a vacuum available for the entire residence hall population to check out and temporarily use.
