Yes, by humanity. The Amazon forest is always green, but the trees that make up the forest are all deciduous ones. The Great Apes and Gorillas are in danger because mankind is destroying their forested habitat and there are huge grass and forest fires in both the US and Australia every year. The logging companies don’t want you to know it, but they are deforesting North America in the race to get lumber to market. Yes, they are replanting, but not at the rate they are chopping them down.
