Are Desert Lynx, Highland Lynx, and Alpine Lynx domestic cats?
Several different breeds of cats are speculated to have originated with crosses from bobcats. These include the Pixie Bob and the Desert Lynx breed group (Desert Lynx, Highland Lynx, and Alpine Lynx). To date, there have been no conclusive data on DNA testing to confirm the presence of bobcat DNA in these cats. Although they bear a physical resemblance to the bobcat, their personalities are totally domestic.
