While many hearing people tend to view Deaf people as handicapped, a Deaf person would answer a defiant ‘No!’ to that question. There is nothing wrong with the way their minds work. They can do everything a hearing person can except hear. If they are given a good education and equal opportunities, they can make it just as well, if not better than anyone else.
