Are Cyber Schools the Right Approach for College?
As my homeschooled kids get older, I often find myself wondering if they shouldn’t continue homeschooling through college. In other words, should they skip the college experience for cyber schools. I have noticed that many homeschoolers do steer their kids toward online colleges to avoid the cost of public schools, the stress of public schools, and the anti-Christian socialization of public schools. These are all good reasons to encourage that homeschoolers continue on the path to being an autodidact and for many homeschoolers this really works. Where my own kids are considered, cyber schools will probably be the way my kids begin their college careers. You can’t deny the value of the decreased cost in a bad economy. Add that to the fact that they will still be quite young when they finish high school (16), that is too young, in my opinion, to move onto a campus. My hope is that they start their college careers online, and then they can get graduate degrees (which are almost mandatory
