Are Curt Schilling and Mike Mussina Hall of Fame Worthy?
First let me start by admitting I am a lifelong New York Yankees fan and can’t stand the Boston Red Sox. 2004 was not a good year for any Yankees fan. I lived in Connecticut for all but four years of my life, and trust me when I say that the rivalry between the fans splits the state in half and is intense. Anyways, enough about myself and the teams I love and love to hate. I am here to figure out if two of baseball’s better pitchers are Hall of Fame worthy. Both Curt Schilling of the Boston Red Sox and Mike Mussina of the New York Yankees have decided to hang up the spikes and call it a career. Curt Schilling after 20 seasons and Mike Mussina after 18. I believe there are certain milestones a pitcher should reach to qualify for the Hall, but you have to also take into consideration the post season, World Series, and the different awards that have been won. For the most part, most would agree that 300 wins and you’re in. Both Curt and Mike fell short of this mark. Mike Mussina finished
