Are Cotons Good Watch dogs?
Well we have heard they are however. Our kennel produces puppies that do not make good watchdogs. If you get one of ours and Charles Manson breaks in our puppy would greet them as a new friend. Other breeders report that theirs will bark at strangers when they come to the door. I don’t know if this is because we are so critical in picking the parents in regards to temperament (particularly the dams) or if it has to do with how we socialize the puppies when they’re here. But it is a difference. Ours love everybody. They think a stranger is just waiting to be their best friend. You can train them But it takes a long time and effort. If you are looking for a watchdog—keep looking!
