Are coral reefs freshwater or marine ecosystems and why?

Ok so i just took a test on this same thing today (i didn’t do too good but anyways) i looked up Marine ecosystems in my book and i didn’t see the euphotic zone, just aphotic and photic zone, but i would say that that the coral reef is part of the marine ecosystem because the coral reef is home to many marine animals in the ocean. That’s the best i got reading from my book. If you need additional help then i suggest going to school early and asking your teacher or another classmate for help.
