Are conversation done over MSN messenger easy to hack?

I’ve never heard of anyone hacking another person’s IM conversation and I can’t even imagine why someone would want to. I suppose though…that if someone did, it could be quite easy with a Microsoft IM since Microsoft is exactly what most people hack anyways. Their code is not very secure.
