Are contact juggling balls hollow?

Mine aren’t. Some might be, I don’t know, but generally contact balls are sold by weight. My starter one was 260grams, funny as it sounds it’s much easier to learn with a heavier ball (just watch your toes!). The larger the ball is, the easier too. I was told not to use a ball less than 3 inches in diameter as it would be too difficult for a beginner. You don’t need a flat edge on the ball, it should be smooth or it won’t roll smoothly and will mess up your tricks. I found it useful to sit a bunched up towel on the table and sit the ball on that, stops is rolling about the place. Good luck, it’s great fun.
