Are Conservative Websites Keeping Bristol Palin on Dancing with the Stars?
Self-described teen advocate Bristol Palin has been at the bottom of the leader board numerous times on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, yet she’s still on the program. Many viewers have wondered why she hasn’t been voted off yet, and the answer may lie with her mother, Sarah Palin. TV Guide editor Bruce Fretts says that a number of conservative websites who support Sarah Palin’s legal defense fund and political action committee, such as ConservativesForPalin.com, have been actively encouraging their followers to vote for Bristol each week. Fretts says that last week, at least one website urged its readers to get ready for voting in the mid-term elections by “voting for Bristol on Monday’s Dancing with the Stars.” Fretts says, “I think there’s a constituency voting for her. Dancing with the Stars is like any election.
