Are conditional statements permitted on cheques?
Conditional statements such as “void if over X amount” are permitted on cheques, provided that their placement does not interfere with any Areas of Interest. It is important to keep in mind that, in and of itself, a statement intended as a general security warning is not likely to create any obligation for a financial institution that holds the account to verify that the condition is met.
