There’s really no such thing as a common computer virus. It would be better to define viruses as those designed to run on Windows, Linux, Mac OS, Java, Office Macros, etc.

No, Linux and Windows (the most common OS) are two very different things, there is almost no possible way a common virus can hit a linux box.
