EPA was going to use CNMPs for the requirements of the Arizona NPDES General permit for CAFOs, however, federal Best Management Practices (BMPs) and Nutrient Management Plans (NMPs) will be used instead. USDANRCS continues to use CNMP to describe its conservation planning policy on AFOs.
