Are companies complying with Green Dot North America?
Between 2002 and 2009, Green Dot Canada licensed over 100 corporations to use the Green Dot symbol on its packaging marketed in Canada. Under Green Dot North America (formed in March 2004), corporations marketing products with packaging displaying the symbol are able to acquire a license that is good for all of North America—Canada, the United States and Mexico—while not infringing on other organization’s registered trademark. Companies that have been granted license to continue to use the Green Dot across North America are updated regularly on our website (see Registered Companies).
