Are Cockers good with kids?
It is a very kid-friendly breed. Cockers love people… it’s as simple as that. A kid that will throw a ball and take the dog for walks is bound to find a very good friend in a Cocker Spaniel. There are a few things to watch out for, though. First, if you’re buying a puppy, get one that has been properly socialized with kids. Second, an exuberant Cocker can easily knock down a toddler, so adult supervision is definitely suggested with very young children. Finally, if you’re thinking of adding a new puppy to a family with a pre-schooler, I’d advise you to wait just a few years.
