Are CNAs allowed to work in an animal hospital?
Part of that depends on the hospital and your background. Some hospitals need some extra help to give shots, monitor animals, check data with the pet owners before the vet comes in, etc, etc. In cases like that, a CNA would fit well, but many vet hospitals would prefer animal experience. However, if you have no history or experience with animals, you would be best off to take some more specialized classes or training in order to have more of a chance at getting a position like that. Either way, a lot of the training that CNAs have is based on working with humans, so you probably won’t use too much of what your CNA training covered. Good luck!
