Are CME credits sent to the state of licensure?

For the most part, the physician sends documentation (i.e. transcripts, credit certificates) to the board attesting that they complied with the CME requirements. The state can audit someone to supply further documentation but, for the most part, the physician is self reporting their data. Please note that CME is not provided by MerckMedicus. CME is provided by vendors who have links to CME from MerckMedicus. Questions about CME content, CE Medicus or MD Consult CME should be directed to the website that offers CME credits – please use the “contact us” feature of those websites to ask questions.
