Are classes taught by faculty members or graduate students?
At non University Park campuses, classes are taught by faculty members. At University Park, classes are taught both by faculty members and graduate teaching assistants. Teaching assistants tend to teach the labs and recitation sections. Teaching assistants are generally under the supervision of the faculty member who is responsible for the course. The College of Engineering requires all teaching assistants to take a teaching course.
