Are classes approved by my State Police Officers Standard and Training (P.O.S.T.)?
A. All classes are already approved by both South Carolina and Tennessee P.O.S.T. There is no state requirement for approved in-service training in North Carolina. The training is always approved in other states prior to the scheduled training date. Q. Can two or three agencies join together to contract training classes? A. Yes. Most classes are either contracted through one agency or contracted through two or three agencies. In these situations each agency is given a separate invoice for one half (or one third) of the training cost. Q. What is the maximum number of students allowed in any one class? A. The maximum number is 40 students per class. Q. If I decide to “host” a class will my agency be required to register students or collect registration fees? A.
