No, CIW exam objectives are not changed when CIW courseware is updated. CIW exam objectives remain the same throughout the life of the exam. Currently, live CIW exams are numbered in the 400 and 500 series (designating versions 4 and 5, respectively, of the CIW certification program). Like most high-stakes certification exams, CIW revises objectives (and exam versions) every two years or longer. By contrast, CIW courseware is updated more frequently to include errata corrections and changes to industry standards, technology or application software. However, current CIW courseware always covers the current CIW exam objectives.
