I think they’re trying to convince themselves more than anyone else and justify, in their own minds at least, what they surely know is antisocial and dishonorable behaviors. Honestly, if they wanted to convert more people they would read and follow their own book. Their own book tells them they can’t really convert anyone – their deity, like all deities, chooses its own followers. If someone doesn’t want to hear their message they are to leave them alone. Rather than follow their own book and the words of their own deity though, they try to force their faith on everyone, just as the Muslims do. Something was lost when Judaism spawned those bastard children of faiths called “Christianity” and “Islam”. What they do when they force their faith on others through passing draconian laws, into textbooks and depriving those they do not like or agree with of civil rights is display their own lack of faith in their own deity and its ability to deal with such people in its own time.
