Are Christianity and the Tao incompatible?

Seems most people confuse Taoism with a religious ideology. Taoism is like Confucianism in that they are both “philosophies.” Buddhism and Christianity are religions, but I digress. Obviously, you were already aware of that. From my own experiences I believe that the two are most compatible, indeed. Jesus spoke a lot about a sort of Yin/Yang duality within humans, though Jesus’ idea was to align yourself in the center, to live life to the fullest without destroying yourself or others. As Taoism is about balance, the two nearly coincide. Unfortunately, Modern Christianity has strayed very far from what Jesus of Nazareth originally intended, though even in the gospel he spoke about knowing that people wouldn’t really understand him; that they would just take what they wanted run with it. Instead of trying to be truly neutral, like Christ, people wanted to be extremely yin or extremely yang. It’s well known that when aligning oneself to a particular side of a duality, conflict is certain
