Are Chinese people using Chinese domains to search the internet?
2nd and 3rd level Chinese domains (.cn, .com.cn, .net.cn, .org.cn) are widely accepted and recognized by the Chinese population. .CN China domain names have become the favorite of domestic Chinese users. The .CN domain name outnumbered any other domain in Asia and by October 2008 was already ranking first in the world. The growth of CN China domains is 15 times faster than that of any other general domain (such as .com). Nearly 13 million .CN Chinese domain names had been registered in China by the end of 2008.
