Are Childrens Rights Officers like Social Workers?
A Children’s Rights Officer is an Independent Advocate and is there to look after your interests – they are not social workers employed by Birmingham City Council. All Advocates who provide their services for Children’s Rights are completely independent of Birmingham City Council. They are self-employed. They are there for you and they are there to support you with your wishes and concerns.
