Are children in the GATE program labeled and made fun of during recess?
Although children are designated as GATE in the district computer and in their cumulative record, this fact is not shared with the other students at the school. The GATE SDC classes participate in field trips and special curricular events with the other classes at their grade level and they are fully integrated into recess, lunch, PE, chorus and instrumental music.
