As steam leaves the boiler and travels through the steam pipes, its natural tendency is to turn acidic since all solids remain in the boiler. Therefore, oxygen scavengers are recommended for boiler use as a steam line treatment. This is true regardless of whether the boiler has a TWT Deposit Control System installed on it or not.
