Are cheaper “netting” pool covers also as effective as PoolGuard?
No! Netting products on the market are well known for their limited safety benefits. Should a child stray into the middle of the cover they will almost certainly become submerged due to the lack of tension at that point. Because PoolGuard pool covers have aluminium tubes spanning the width of the cover, the cover is just as strong in the centre as it is anywhere else on the cover.
