Are chair covers necessary?

I actually hate chair covers, but the chairs at our venue are ugly and it would cost 900 dollars to rent chairs, so I’m stuck with the chair covers that our venue provides. Here’s a picture of chairs that you can rent…this is our venue btw http://www.weddingsitesandservices.

You are very fortunate to have the funds for such a nice wedding. I had to cater mine myself with the help of my Mother and several friends and relatives who volunteered. I thought I would never finish making those Greek meatballs and wrapping those Jordan almonds! I was fortunate to know someone who made wedding cakes and I only paid $50 for the ingredients and she donated the work in lieu of a gift. Wonderful memories, though. Since you want an elegant and (I’m guessing) formal wedding, yes you should. If your budget is too tight, then you need to look for something to cut back on, such as a less expensive champagne or a reception meal that’s good, but less expensive (choice of chicken or ham instead of steak/roast beef). If you are having an evening wedding and going all out, then the chair covers are a must. If it’s in the afternoon, a little less formality would be acceptable. My personal opinion is that (hopefully) this is a once in a lifetime event. You have the funds to do it t

Chair covers are not necessary. Nobody even sees them once people are sitting in the chairs.

You could cut the cost by just buying chair sashes. I found them here in Austin for a dollar a sash. It would look really pretty to have a white table cloth with hot pink sashes on some chairs and navy sashes on others. Or you could do a navy table cloth with hot pink sashes around the chairs. Not too sure what your chairs look like. You could use sashes or buy tulle to do a bow around the chairs. Something like this would be cute…. http://photos.weddingbycolor.com/p/000/0… You could do the white tulle and find some cheap flowers some where in hot pink to put on each chair and then do a navy blue table cloth. That would look extremely nice. You don’t necessarily need the chair covers or sashes though. Its up to you. Just wanted to give you an idea. Good luck and congratulations. Weddings are too much fun!

You do not need chair covers. The chairs should be just as elegant as the decor. Congratulations on your up comming wedding.
