Yes. The Flower Mound Town Council adopted regulations on January 21, 2010, that would allow for the creation of such facilities. Prior to January 21, 2010, there were not regulations in place to address the various operations and potential impacts associated with centralized natural gas production facilities. The facilities consist of centralized compression facilities that may service offsite gas well pad locations and produced water collection and storage facilities that also would serve offsite pad sites. The regulations approved on January 21 established standards to effectively regulate the centralized compression operations and produced water storage facilities, and enhanced screening standards were also adopted to address visual impact of the facilities. Pipeline standards for produced water were not in place prior to January 21; therefore, the approved regulations created standards for leak detection and pipeline design.
