Are cement, mortar, concrete and glass all considered as building materials?

Cement and glass are both materials in their own right but mortar is a mixture of materials (variously water, cement, sand & lime), concrete is also a mixture (water, cement & aggregate). The other comments are also correct, buildings are constructed from pretty much anything you can think of – you can even have your walls insulated with sheeps wool and straw if you really wanted.
