Are Celebrities the Real Heros?
A few years ago I did an article about Celebrity Speakers. It was actually a chapter in my book. I wondered then why we place so much importance on what celebrities say or do. I still don’t know the answer. Celebrities have a huge impact on our way of thinking. For some reason when we see and hear a celebrity speaking on TV we tend to believe they know what they are talking about. It doesn’t matter what subject, we see the familiar face and assume they are knowledgeable about it. This is not always true. I sometimes wonder how they became authorities on so many different subjects. When a celebrity appears on a national talk show they usually speak on a subject that means something to them. Something that may have taken place in their life or they are stating their own opinion about a subject they know something about, and that, we have no reason to doubt. We all have our opinions on different subjects and everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. Your opinion is not exactly the same
