Are Catholic schools better than public schools?

0

Both of my children went to Catholic schools after my son (the elder) began in public school. His learning experience in kindergarten and part of 1st great were barely adequate. Although the cost was not easy, my [ex] husband and I decided, after speaking with the principle and seeing curriculum, that private school was the way to go. The religion teaching wasn’t so overwhelming that it mattered one way or the other, but the lessons taught, the class size, materials, etc., we much better than that offered in public school. Catholic high schools are all considered ‘college prep’ and of both of my children’s graduating classes, less than 5% of the class decided NOT to attend college or continue with their education. I see the difference now in their friends that went to public school. My kids generally have to explain simple things to their friends; things taught in private school.
