Are catch basin inserts considered to be acceptable source control BMPs?
In accordance with San Diego Regional Water Board guidance, San Clemente does not consider catch basin inserts alone to satisfy the structural treatment BMP requirement. However, catch basin inserts as part of a treatment train including other technologies may be considered. Please refer to the City’s report regarding catch basin inserts for more information.
