Are cataracts preventable?

0

No, at this time there is no known treatment to prevent the formation of cataract. There are however some steps you can take to slow down the progression. Some of those steps include wearing protective eyewear in the sun, eating a healthy balanced diet which includes leafy green vegetables, and if you smoke consider quitting. Again, there is no prevention for cataract but routine visits to your eye care specialist will keep you informed about the latest treatments available.
