Are casual sex, drug use and heavy drinking glamorized in teenage programming (eg skins hollyoaks etc)?
First of all good luck with school and all your future endeavors! =) I must also give you props for submitting a school survey assignment on here very clever! My answers: 1- if I had to average it daily maybe an hour or two 2- simpsons, she’s crafty, and antiques roadshow 3- I wouldn’t necessarily call it glamorized just because everytime a story that involves those things usually ends that the character gets busted or has to pay some conciquence for it. But it definitly is prominant, over dramatized and the story plot for the majority of episodes 4-I do drink and not yesterday but the Sunday before that. 5-I would say that it is 70 percent accurate not that teens don’t have other problems or do they respond to those problems in the way tv portrays but I think sex drugs and drinking are probably the most common and hardest problems teenagers face. 6-hmmm I know I grew up watching 90210 and I turned out okay but I probably wouldn’t let my kids watch teen dramas until they were about 15
