Are cashback websites safe?
You do not give your credit card details to the cashback reward site instead you only give these to the relevant retailer (Tesco, Dell, HMV etc) on their site so you do not need to worry about the Cashback Reward site accessing your credit card details. Whilst some cashback reward sites offer the option of paying your reward direct into your bank account most also offer alternatives such as being paid by cheque, or to your Paypal account or being paid in vouchers so again you do not need to worry about handing over sensitive information to the Cashback reward sites. The only real danger is if one of the companies owning these cashback sites gets into financial difficulties then they may not pay out any cashback rewards you are due and so it is recommended that once you have earned any rewards you withdraw them as soon as possible.
