Learners should have 25 minutes for CASAS Reading appraisal subtests, and one hour for CASAS pre- and post-tests. The tests are not strictly timed, meaning that learners may finish the item they are working on when time is called. An additional 2 to 3 minutes may be allowed for this purpose. The Listening Tests are timed based on the length of the CD.
