Are cancer pisces and scorpio statistically more suicidal than other signs?
Just because they are emotional doesn’t mean that they are more likely to commit suicide. Sometimes people commit suicide based on other things that had happened to them other than their emotions and feelings. If you ask me I think that Gemini’s are more suicidal. All the ones that I have know are all suicidal. I don’t really know if they will ever do it though. It takes someone with a strong will. It really depends on how emotional weak someone is in life. There’s a book called the power of stars and birthday that indicates how strong someone is in life based on stars. 1 means weakest and 10 strongest which are alphas. I find it correct because I only have 4 stars and all of my siblings has 6 stars and above. I will always be the shy one, the weakest one, and the most emotional. I think moon in cancer and other aspects could make a person suicidal also but just the zodiac sign alone can’t possibly make someone more suicidal.
I do not think suicidal tendencies can be predicted by looking at Sun sign alone. There may be some aspects that encourage that kind of feeling, but I wouldn’t expect to see much correlation between Sun sign and suicide. People don’t just kill themselves because they are emotional, this is a misconception. Not often do people kill themselves in an emotional rage – people more often kill themselves after a period of deep, numbing depression, where nothing has changed for them in a long time. This depression might stem from any number of reasons, including biological reasons, experiential reasons, environmental reasons, societal reasons, and so on. People of any sign are susceptible to everything life throws at us, and people of any sign are susceptible to depression. Depression isn’t just an emotional expression, depression is a state of mind that can arise in even the least emotional of people.
Well, it may not be the answer you’re looking for, but maybe. Google searches didn’t bring much up… some forum websites of personal opinions and whatnot. A quick search through the University of Texas’ library resources and psycINFO data bases for the terms “suicide”, “depression”, “zodiac”, “horoscope”, “Cancer”, “Pisces”, “Scorpio” and about every combination of those terms didn’t yield much. The only things I found were insignificant to these phrases because of Boolean searches. PsycINFO is a psychology database of all the studies conducted, whether or not the are found significant. If there was any actual research/statistics on this, I’d expect to find it there. Basically, I couldn’t find any reliable statistics. BUT, this could mean two things: either my search wasn’t thorough enough, or a correlation is possible and perhaps it simply hasn’t been researched yet.
If you are serious for accuracy, you should probably get in contact with some place or someone who has actual statistics, like the first person answering did. You could also look at the charts of famous people who were suicides. I think Cobain was a Pisces, and I remember Vincent van Gogh was an Aries. Someone mentioned Hemingway, but I don’t know his sign for sure. I’m sure it could be found on Google. Jimi Hendrix was a Sagittarius, Janis Joplin was a Capricorn. Wendy O Williams was a Gemini. Virginia Woolf was an Aquarius. The lead singer from INXS was an Aquarius. Just do the same thing with a lot more examples and you might find a connection. Ok, I’ve said that piece because I was leading to something. Look at the aspects in this person’s chart. If you know much about astrology, you’ll see that it isn’t her sun sign Aquarius that played the lead in her suicide.
