Are CaMSP projects required to have a Local Evaluator?
Yes, all CaMSP projects are required to have a Local Evaluator who conducts local CaMSP project evaluations, provides periodic reports on the status of the project to the project’s Leadership Team, submits a progress report in the spring to CDE and submits an annual report to the federal government on the project’s implementation and impact. The Local Evaluator must have strong evaluation skills and experience that include the development and implementation of research-based evaluations. In addition to providing project improvement information, periodic reports and the required annual local evaluation report for submittal to the federal government, the project’s Local Evaluator should also have the necessary skills to support and facilitate the statewide evaluation efforts.
