Are C.S. Lewis most famous arguments for Christianity offensively stupid?
Theres the trilemma, which has been shredded to pieces, even though it was self evidently stupid to being with, and then there is the “Christianity is true because it is so absurd” argument! This man is touted and beloved more than almost any other defender of the faith and these two arguments are not just bad — not just stupid, but it is offensive to me that anyone could ever find either one of these the least bit convincing. They are utterly bankrupt. If course I could be mistunderstanding his arguments or taking them out of context. I’ll freely admit that. Is there anyone else that not only disagrees with Lewis, but finds what he passes off as arguments, offensive? He speaks as if he is so cock sure. He was almost like the Christian Christopher Hitchens.
