Are Burmese cats hypoallergenic?

0

no, yes, it depends on the cat. It might have more dander then others but this cat, burmese, has less therefor less chances of peoples allergies to react

The allergic reactions are caused by cat dander – and each breed of cat has a slight difference in dander. In general, a person who is allergic to cats will generally be allergic to any cats with fur. Like the previous poster stated, sometimes a certain breed’s dander might not affect an allergy, but in general, fur = dander = allergic reaction. So to directly answer your question – Burmese cats are not hypoallergenic. The only cat that can truly be labelled as hypoallergenic are Sphynx kitties. Feel free to write me and I will send you pics of my Sphynx named Alia.
