Are builders and remodelers required to be bonded or have liability insurance?
The law does not require a builder or remodeler to be bonded or have liability insurance to register with the commission. On the other hand, most Star Builders in Texas are required to maintain liability insurance, are bonded and otherwise meet standards that demonstrate a superior commitment to customer satisfaction.
