Are Browning tennis rackets any good?
Tennis racquets come in all flavours and shapes and sizes. Their effectiveness really depends on what you intend to use them for. A Browning racquet should work for most novice players, who have not developed proper strokes. Most importantly, the shape and construction of most Brownings, will make it tough to learn many of the modern swings, because the composite low-profile beam may prove a bit too unstable for angular momentun (swinging low to high as the ball comes at you) but it is well suited for more classic styles (swinging from back to front to send the ball) that are flat… Also, consider that for the price of most Brownings, you could find a decent used Head, Wilson or Babolat racquet. Just go for visits at the local clubs and ask around. You would be surprised at how many racquets build up in some people’s homes.
