The Lingering sentiment is Terra’s left behind armor that contains bits of his memory as well as his soul. Seeing as the current fate of Terra’s heart and body is unknown, it’d be safe to say that the Lingering Sentiment is all that’s left of “terra” I suppose the same could be said for Vanitas, but that’s unclear as of now.
