As one part of the ongoing outbreak investigation, FDA investigators are on the farms examining their compliance with the Egg Safety Rule. Also, FDA is examining possible sources of the contamination in this outbreak. Our focus remains on the prevention of more illnesses due to the consumption of contaminated shell eggs.
